Gregory Sauter, Founding Principal - Gregory Sauter, P.E., is President and Chief Executive of Crossroads Advisory, to which he brings 30 years’ experience in the E&C industry. Always with a focus on integrity, authentic leadership, and transforming cultures, he delivered business and project success to many of the world’s most challenging and exciting infrastructure projects on six continents.

Prior to Crossroads, Mr. Sauter spent 15 years with AECOM as their Executive Vice President and Chief Corporate Officer, and was instrumental in AECOM’s growth to 100,000 people and a market capitalization of USD19.5 billion. Mr. Sauter also served as President and Board Chairman of Engineers Without Borders USA, where he guided a 17,000-member global humanitarian non-profit that administers over 600 global development projects in 40 countries, while providing transformational life experiences to students and professionals.

Mr. Sauter’s commitment to excellence and passion for corporate culture and ethics has helped garner national and international awards including Ethisphere’s World’s Most Ethical Companies list, the Gold American Business Awards, multiple International Business Awards, and Newsweek’s Top 500 Greenest Companies. Always seeking opportunities to give back, Mr. Sauter currently serves as a board member for several non-profits, including the Network for Teaching entrepreneurship, the Derek Jeter Turn-2 Foundation, the New Jersey Institute of Technology Board of Overseers, and the Rutgers University Institute for Ethical Leadership. Mr. Sauter is a Professional Engineer with a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, a Master's in Civil/Environmental Engineering from the University of Alabama, and an MBA from Rutgers University. An avid adventurer and outdoorsman, Mr. Sauter has biked across Europe, backpacked and cycled in the Yukon and Alaska, and most recently he climbed to the top of the Grand Teton in Wyoming. He currently lives in NJ with his wife and 3 children.

Martha Korman-Zumwalt, Founding Principal - Martha Korman-Zumwalt is Vice President for Strategic Business Positioning for Crossroads Advisory. An entrepreneur, mother and philanthropist, Ms. Korman-Zumwalt also founded a regional graphic and printing business, National Graphic Imaging (NGI) in 1986. Martha and her late husband, grew NGI to annual revenues of over USD25 million, and the company became the largest reprographics firm in the southeastern United States. Among myriad accolades for her success, she earned Woman Business Person of the Year in 1998, and the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Women in Business Award in 2002.

In 2007, Ms. Korman Zumwalt sold NGI to American Reprographics Company (ARC), a NYSE USD 400 million company, where she became Vice President for Business Development. Responsible for top executive level business relationships with current and future national clients, she drove revenue in ARC’s Global Solutions Division from US$7 million to US$73 million in just seven years.

John B. Zumwalt, III, Founding Principal - John B. Zumwalt, III, brings his lifelong passion for transformational leadership in the E&C industry to his position as Vice President for Strategic Sourcing for Crossroads Advisory. Mr. Zumwalt is the retired Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The PBSJ Corporation and its primary subsidiary company, PBS&J, a nationwide consulting engineering company (now Atkins), where he spent over 30 years. Under his leadership, The PBSJ Corporation grew to be an $830-million-a-year, 4,000-person company.

A tireless advocate for the engineering profession and industry, Mr. Zumwalt served as President and Director of the Florida Engineering Society and is a Founder and alumnus of the Florida Engineering Leadership Institute. An FES Fellow, he has also received the prestigious Governor A.W. Gilchrist Award for outstanding public service to the engineering profession and is a past President and Director of the Florida Institute of Consulting Engineers (FICE). A 1973 graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a degree in civil and environmental engineering, Mr. Zumwalt was inducted into the University’s Engineering Hall of Fame in 2004.

Mr. Zumwalt also enjoys giving back to the business community, including serving as Chairman of Florida TaxWatch, and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Florida Council of 100, the Board of Directors of the Florida Chamber of Commerce, and Florida Chamber Foundation.

Mr. Zumwalt, an accomplished sailor with ports of call stretching from Mexico to Maine, lives with his wife Martha in Odessa, Florida and Newport Rhode Island. They are currently developing a small family farm in Odessa to teach their grandchildren hands-on life skills and independent living.
